Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lighting Thief

Plot: The Lightning Thief is about a kid named Percy who finds out he is the son of Poseidon. He must travel around the country with his friends to try to find Zeus’s stolen lightning bolt and get his mom back from Hades. Along the way they must battle monsters, travel to the underworld and face a traitor in their midst.
Review: I was a huge fan of these books, and I was excited to see the movie. As a movie it was O.K, but compared to the books it was horrible. The special effects were actually pretty good (about the same as the mist) but the acting wasn’t. Probably skip it if you haven’t read the books, but if you have it is still pretty cool to see the books come alive.
